How does NYXIE Afterglow work?
NYXIE Afterglow is made with photoluminescent fabric that absorbs light and releases it once you're somewhere dark. In regular lighting, the dress appears cream/off-white; when the lights go down, the knit pattern reveals its signature green glow.
How do I get the strongest glow?
For the best results, expose your Afterglow to bright light for around 60 minutes before wearing it. Direct sunlight works best, but a strong indoor light can also charge the fabric. Generally, the brighter the light and longer the exposure, the stronger and longer-lasting the glow.
How long does the glow last?
After a strong charge, the glow can remain visible for up to approximately 5 hours, gradually becoming softer over time. Actual brightness and duration will vary depending on how long it was charged, the strength of the light source, and how dark your surroundings are.
Can I recharge the glow?
Yes! ✨ Simply expose the dress to bright light again whenever you want to recharge it. No batteries, wires, plugs, or electronic components are required.
What color does it glow?
Our current Afterglow styles emit a green luminous glow in darkness. In normal lighting, the material appears cream/off-white.
Will it glow if the room isn't completely dark?
Yes, but the darker your surroundings are, the more noticeable the glow will appear. In a brightly lit environment the effect will naturally be less visible, while darker clubs, festivals, parties, and nighttime settings will show it best.
What size does it fit?
NYXIE Afterglow is made from an extremely stretchy fishnet knit designed to comfortably adapt to a wide range of body shapes. It is one size fits most, with the flexible material stretching and contouring to your body rather than fitting like a traditional structured dress.
What should I wear underneath it?
Style it however you want. 💗 Layer it over a cute top and shorts for a festival-ready look, pair it with your favorite underlayers for a bolder outfit, or create your own combination. The mesh design makes it easy to completely change the look depending on the occasion.
How should I wash my Afterglow?
For best care, wash using cold water on a gentle/delicate cycle. Air drying is recommended whenever possible; if using a dryer, choose a low-temperature delicate setting to help protect the knit material.
